Mark's Profile -- DJ
Radio History:

In 1995, after winning a contest (many know my fish story), I tried out for the newsperson job with KWHL. I got it because I was competing against Papa Pilgrim, a trained monkey, and a deaf mute. Hey, that monkey was smart!

That’s when I began my odyssey with Bob. Even though I only did two breaks an hour and spoke only when spoken to, I was learning from Bob right away. You can’t teach “funny”, you either have it or you don’t. Bob not only had it, he was a Master of it.

Long story short, we both worked for the biggest sack of crap known to humanity, Bob quit before he killed him…I stayed…then threatened to quit before I killed him, but he got the axe. Bob and I swallowed some hallucinogenics, and laid out the foundation for what would become the Bob and Mark Show.

We left KWHL for 4 dark years in search of a ring…wait, that was a movie…anyways we came back in 2004 and are still kicking ass!!!

Some Things You May Not Know About Me:

Favorite Movies: Godfather I and II, Goodfellas, Evil Dead II, Halloween I
Favorite Comedians: The Marx Brothers, Bill Hicks, Richard Pryor
1st Concert: Judas Priest/Iron Maiden 1983 at Madison Square Garden
Favorite Book: Steven King’s “The Stand”.
Favorite web links: www.fark.com, www.nfl.com, www.flipperbaby.com, and unfortunately, I’m not allowed to list the porno sites that are near and dear to my nether regions.

And one more thing you might not know about me: I had an undeveloped twin removed from my neck when I was 3…I called him Jimbo.

I have a beautiful wife Mary who somehow puts up with all this (she prays for me a lot) and 3 incredible children, Angela, Elizabeth, and Carl.

I love Alaska to death, love everything about it, the people, the fishing, the independent spirit, and the daily reminders of our great people in the military, the sacrifices they make, and the fact that they truly make this great state and country what we are today. Words don’t do justice to how I feel about them.
